Salvation army needs our help!!!
In these unprecedented times we know that our services will be in high demand as people face the financial and social fallout of this major global event.

Right now, we are working with our local community, as we have always done, to ensure that we leave no one in need. This includes the people we have always been helping who are living in extreme hardship; people who have never needed us before the devastating impacts of this pandemic; and the people who have never felt so isolated and alone as they do right now.

It is our mission to live, love and fight for everyone in need and that need is now greater than ever.

Our Crochet and knitting for the homeless project is on it's way. IF you know how to knit or crochet beanies and scarves, that's great!!! Any pattern is good! Here are some free patterns we have collected if you need some help.

The Solli Hat is a classic ribbed hat for all the family. The hat is crocheted in Baby Merino XL, which is a really soft, delightful and itch-free yarn. The Solli Hat has a good shape, which is lovely to wear. The pattern can be found for sizes 48-58 cm – the perfect hat for the family. Enjoy!

The days and nights are starting to cool down and sadly quite a few homeless people are in the streets and they have no way to warm up. We thought of helping them by starting a heart-warming project with cooperation with Salvation Army Bentleigh. If anyone who knows how to knit or crochet and would like to make beanies and scarves, this would be great!!! We would love your work returned to us by May 20th.

February 19th 9-12am – Basket from T shirt yarn for beginners (Salvation Army , 87 Robert St Bentleigh) – 50$

February 22nd 10-12am – Granny squares for beginners (Fusion Oakleigh, 185 Warrigal Road, Hughesdale) – 35$ (registration with Fusion Oakleigh)

March 4th 7:30-10:30pm - Basket from T shirt yarn for beginners (Salvation Army , 87 Robert St Bentleigh) – 50$

March 11th 7:30-10:30pm – Baby Blanket (Salvation Army , 87 Robert St Bentleigh) – 50$

March 21st 4-7pm – Owl for semi beginners (Salvation Army , 87 Robert St Bentleigh) – 50$

All workshops will be provided with yarn and * a hook (*Except Fusion Oakleigh)
