SIMULCAST hit BENDIGO this past weekend! Here’s a snippet of our final rehearsal, captured by Adam Wheeler. Stay tuned for more from the event itself.

Huge thanks to the City of Greater Bendigo and Encounter Producer Sam Thomas, Creative Victoria, CHUNKY MOVE and Tasdance, for supporting the second iteration of this epic work with 60 local dancers and the incredible Daniel Riley. We went vertical!

A solo for many.

SIMULCAST is a study in simplicity. Young, old, trained and untrained dancers will work together to create this murmuration, taking place on October 12th in Bendigo at the iconic Poppet Head. Presented by the City of Greater Bendigo and Chunky Move in association with Tasdance, SIMULCAST Bendigo is a solo for celebrated Australian dancer Daniel Riley, supported by a local cast of 50.

SIMULCAST BENDIGO seeks 100 local dancers!

This is an open call to all movers - young, not so young, trained, untrained, aspiring professional to loung room groover all are welcome - and here's a snippet of rehearsals from our Melbourne season earlier this year to prove it!

As a SIMULCAST BENDIGO dancer, you will be at the heart of this epic outdoor project, reimagined for the iconic Poppet Head site. Guided by professional dance artists from Chunky Move and Tasdance, you'll learn and practice simple dance sequences towards a 15-minute outdoor performance, meeting and working with new people and contributing to the creation of something incredible, as part of a huge community team.

SIMULCAST YOUNG LEADERS

The Young Leader role is designed to offer aspiring professional dancers an opportunity to develop their skills in dancing, teaching and leading. Young Leaders are mentored by the professional artistic team.

SIMULCAST Young Leaders learn the core choreographic material before community rehearsals begin, assist the professional artists to translate the choreography for the community dancers, and help run rehearsals. Young Leaders also perform in the work, supporting the cast with important cues.

Register now to be a Young Leader for SIMULCAST BENDIGO. Rehearsals commence Saturday 10 August.

SIMULCAST is coming to Bendigo - and we need 100 local dancers!

In partnership with Chunky Move and Tasdance, City of Greater Bendigo is looking for 100 volunteer dancers of all ages to be part of a large-scale dance work to be held at the iconic Poppet Head site in Bendigo August - October 2019.

We are looking for 10-15 Young Leaders:
Dynamic, confident and articulate individuals with a strong level of dance skill & training who are passionate about dance and getting people dancing.

Created and produced by Chunky Move in association with Tasdance and Yellow Wheel, SIMULCAST is a solo for celebrated Australian dancer James O’Hara, supported by a local cast of 400.
