// Breaking Sin City

// For the ‘End Credits’ group show
// Opening Friday 6th of March, 6pm

// Size: 60cm x 40cm
// Acrylic on woodboard, framed in American Oak from the best at

With the brief for this one being inspired by film / film music, I chose two of my all time favs for my subjects. The first being Heisenberg, the infamous alias of Walter White from Breaking Bad played by Bryan Cranston, and Marve, the hulking anti hero played by Mickey Rourke in Sin City.

Really vibed working with high contrast and dialling in on the important parts. Sin City’s monochromatic film style and selective colourisation was candy to my eyes as a young creative, so stoked for this opportunity to use it as a reference. Was a bit out of my comfort zone with the portraits, but kept these simple enough to be happy with the result.

Show opens tomorrow night, I can’t be there but get down for a drink and support all the awesome talent in the show.

Much love 🩵

Aiming to celebrate history, present and future, this piece features the synonymous skipping girl neon sign of Richmond (the old office location), and multiple landmarks located on Burwood road, Hawthorn (the new office location). The abstract symbol that frames the composition has been designed purposefully to symbolise connection, care and community. Specifically using the half circle on each end to represent people with open arms, providing or seeking support.

About 4 and half months painting and happy to say it stretched me in the best way. The largest painting I’ve done in this style yet, it was satisfying and challenging getting deep in the details of this one.

Such a pleasure working with Anton and Megan, a dream client who trusted the vision and even helped with some of the photo references.

I’m booked out until May this year for now, but keen to paint more of these in the future, throw some more big boys at me!

Much love 🩵

Artwork statement: Exploring the interplay between us and the built environment, how elements of these spaces interact with each other, and how we as inhabitants and creators experience them. At first glance the work appears to be organised angular chaos, but upon closer inspection two scenes of the Tate Modern reveal themselves, inviting viewers to look deeper literally, but also figuratively, examining the significance of architecture in our lives and how it impacts our human experience.

Hyped to be a finalist in this year’s award among some incredible works. The finalist exhibition runs for 2 weeks across Lethbridge Gallery and Latrobe Art Space in Paddington. Massive thanks to the team there, it’s going to be a great show!

Pop in for look if you’re in Brissy.

// Forgotten Spaces - Revitalising Perth’s laneways project for

// Grand lane, Perth, WA

This work pays tribute to The Grand Theatre - of which the lane is named after - by combining my extruded pattern work, ciphered typography and bold colour theory. The word ‘Captivated’ is highlighted and woven throughout the piece, representing the wonder audiences once felt during early film screenings. Lime green and yellow symbolise the glowing screen, while rich purples represent the dark and stillness of an enthralled audience.

Hard to get a photo in this part of the lane, but so stoked to get this one done on a challenging site. So many surfaces and angles, but I’m a sucker for a challenge too. Perth always brings the goods weather and vibes wise, and getting to catch up with mates who are killing it is always the best part. Super grateful to get back there to paint in a city that I’m growing to love.

Massive thanks to and Odd for the opportunity and support, and big ups to for killing the assist and making my life easier, very grateful to get this one up.

// Resilient

// Benalla Street Art Festival 2025

// building, 2/24 Bridge St E, Benalla, VIC

With the aim of celebrating the strength and stoicism of country towns like Benalla, I chose to use the word Resilient, the embodiment of what it takes to sustain rural communities. Coming from a small country town in West Gippsland myself, I understand the need for these communities to come together and support each other through thick and thin.

The colour scheme, a subtle nod to , further creates a sense of place, with the palette inspired by the sunsets often seen in the area. The light blue skies, orange and yellow hues, and rich purple and blues as the night rolls in. See slide 10 for reference, a photo I took crossing the bridge on my way to the festival opening at . Seemed serendipitous given my palette choices.

It was an absolute pleasure to paint at this year’s . The community made me feel so welcome, full country hospitality vibes.

Massive thanks to for trusting me and curating an epic and diverse lineup, the volunteers and BSAF team behind it all, my hosts Sabine and Mike, and and for always being the best in the paint biz.

Revolver Upstairs proudly presents its 2025 WINTER edition of Seasons of Change #49: RAW LINES

Curated by , the exhibition highlights local Melbourne talent alongside heavy hitting interstate artists.

Always hyped to be apart of these line-ups! I’ve slacked off my sketchbook practise recently, but had this one in the bank from a couple of years back. An iconic image of Dylan Rieder’s Impossible Tail Grab from his influential Gravis part. Style, power, pop, he was one of a kind.

Big ups to Frank for the invite! Get down to support the scene that supports you, and hang around for the show in the front room afterwards, catch you for a beer ☮️
