Elle Townsend makes her .street.theatre Junior Tawny Reviewer debut in this month’s with kid (and adult!) favourite, Mr Snotbottom, writing..

“Would you volunteer to get snot from Mr Snotbottom’s butt on top of your head? I wouldn’t! And Mr Snotbottom had a choice of wearing an “I pick my nose” or an “I heart dog poo” shirt – what would you choose?

“What a hilarious show. It starts in Mr Snotbottom’s bedroom where he was in his un**es! The crowd had to stamp, clap and cheer to help him get into his pants and jacket. Mr Snotbottom’s breath smelt like elephant and dog poo! And what better way to brush these smelly teeth than with a toilet brush! Many audience members were also given the chance to have a go scrubbing their teeth. Watch out, this was the start of involving the audience.

“A grandad was pulled on stage to fart fluorescent green snot with accompanying fart noises. A lady’s bag was used as a baby. There was a name guessing activity where Mr Snotbottom created songs with mentions of “spaghetti sandwich guts”, “broccoli pants” and “lady goo goo gaga”. Everyone sang along to a haunted toilet seat song and were all super soaked after a group sneeze.

“Glen Street Theatre was full of energy, excitement and anticipation from little kids, bigger kids, grandparents and mums and dads. Going to Glen St Theatre allowed us to experience the fart noises live, feel group sneezes together, possibly get un**es and snot on your head and get up and move your body to the beat of Mr Snotbottom and his audience band playing the feather duster trombone and garbage bin drums.

“This was the funniest show I have ever been to. A must see for all who love talking about snot, farts, and butts!”
