I have a lot of dsp (designer series paper aka patterned paper) and I probably use paper more than stamps (other than sentiments) even though I have a lot of stamps & dies too 😏 I love that pretty paper does all the work. Here’s a couple cards from this week

Last week I had special card to make for cousins celebrating 40yrs of marriage. As was said in the speeches - 40yrs is a long time and requires loving determination and sees lots of ups, downs, hardships and of course great blessing. I wanted to make something a bit special and I had a design in mind inspired by a card on Pinterest.

The good thing about hoarding retired stamps is you never know when they will be needed again. I think I bought this monster set in a retiring sale as I don’t do Halloween cards but liked the monster images.
My son bought this hair brush as a joke gift for his sisters Birthday last week so I made a quick card for him to give with it. Too cute! (she loved the hair brush 😁)

Birthday season continues with my daughter & Dad’s Birthday today. I’d wanted to used the On Display Bundle I got as it was retiring. So many stamps & dies to choose from but I was inspired by my daughters new home and her collections of books & plants

Birthday Season has begun and my To Do list of cards for the next 6 weeks is now up to 20! (Not all Birthday)
So first up is my nephews Birthday card. Simple & quick as not sure teenage boys have much interest in their cards. I have no idea if he’s keen to get his licence and am having a hard time accepting he’s old enough to do so even if he has towered over me a year or two. I chose these colours as he sometimes plays for West Adelaide juniors and it’s a change from Crows Colours

My crafting has taken the back seat of late as we help our new fur baby adjust to her new home. However I’ve just written my to do list - I’ve got 18 cards to make in the next 6 weeks as it’s Birthday Season in our family, plus a few friends B'days, Fathers Day & a few special occasions too. Time to get crafting. I’ll share as I’m able. Meantime - here’s my cute new baby - we love her so much already

Really saddened to hear of a customer & regular ChaelaCards supporter losing her fight with cancer last week. I found the special Wedding card I made her 7+ yrs ago when I was still relatively new to SU. Thinking of you today Karen & your family 💗

While I often make cards to try out a new sketch or idea,mostly my card creations come by necessity because I want a specific card for a specific occasion.

You may have noticed there’s a bit of a buzz in SU circles about the new Hot Foil System which I’m not planning to invest in but I’ve seen some lovely cards so I have fished out some old foil accented dsp instead & CASEd Laura (Laura’s Creative Pages & Cards) cards from her Take Charge Thursday card from a week ago. I’ve included her stunning cards at the end

I forgot to share the last lot of pansy cards I made using stamped images. I’ve really enjoyed playing with this set again. Now to tidy up and get on with some new projects I need in the coming months.
