💫 Crete Street Studio offers a vibrant range of performing arts classes for children, teens and young adults who are ready to explore the stage, build confidence, develop new skills and grow as performers.
🚀 Whether your child is taking their first steps into the performing arts, ready to strengthen their acting technique, excited to sing and dance, seeking extension through performance opportunities, or continuing their theatre journey into young adulthood, CSS has a class to support, challenge and inspire them.

✨🎤 JETS – Junior Entertainers’ Theatre School
Our JETS program introduces younger performers to the joy of acting, singing and dance while helping them build confidence, creativity and essential performance skills. Currently, this class is full; a waiting list is available.
🎭🔥 Acting Classes
Our Acting classes support students aged 10–18 as they explore monologues, voice control, characterisation, emotion, creative interpretation and live performance, building both skill and stage confidence.
🎶💃 Musical Theatre
For students who love to sing, dance and perform, Musical Theatre brings voice, movement and acting together through classical and contemporary musical theatre styles.
🌟🎬 Performance Class
For dedicated performers ready for the next step, our audition-based Performance Class offers small-group and individual coaching, expert tutors, audition book creation and live performance opportunities at CSS showcases, eisteddfods and the BTG One Act Play Festival. Limited spaces available.
🌟🎙️ Adult Theatre Class
Our Adult Theatre Class, designed for ages 18–30, gives emerging adult performers the chance to strengthen acting technique, script interpretation, audition preparation, stage presence and ensemble work.

👏 At CSS, students are encouraged to express themselves, make new friends, develop their talents and discover a lifelong love of the stage. With supportive tutors, creative classes, audition-based extension opportunities, and two Showcases a year, Crete Street Studio is the perfect place to begin, grow or continue a performing arts journey.

ALICIA BRITE

Alicia Brite is an emerging artist, composer and lyricist located in Meanjin, Brisbane. Passionate about the musical theatre genre she has been involved in theatre onstage, offstage and in production roles in Brisbane for over 15 years. As a performer, writer and educator she is passionate about the art of storytelling and the opportunity to share unique experiences through performing arts. Alicia holds a Certificate Level III somatic voicework and A Bachelor of Music. As an autistic artist, she is impassioned to create an inclusive and diverse learning environment.

This is Alicia's third year here with us at Crete Street Studio!

LAYLA STEVENS

Layla Stevens has a strong passion for musical theatre and performance, with experience across acting, singing, dancing, and backstage theatre.

Layla has worked both onstage and behind the scenes, from performing lead roles in school productions to assisting with props, costumes, sound, and microphone cueing, as well as supporting young performers as part of youth theatre ensembles.

She is currently studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Drama) at QUT and is working towards a career in the performing arts. Layla loves helping students build confidence, creativity, and a love for performance, and is very excited to meet everyone and work together to make 2026 a fantastic year at CSS.

JACKSON PAUL

Jackson Paul (he/they) is a theatre maker, writer and educator living in Brisbane and originally hailing from Bundaberg. He graduated from the University of Queensland with an arts degree majoring in drama and is about to commence his Master of Education at the same university. He has had training in acting and performance from QUT as well as performing, directing and writing for many independent, student and community theatre companies over the past three years. Jackson was an executive of Underground Theatre company for three years and has a particular passion for developing new work and creating a community where all artists feel comfortable to create.

ZACHARY STEHN-PREWETT

Zachary Stehn-Prewett is an emerging artist, writer, performer, and registered teacher based in Logan. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and Education from the University of Queensland, where he developed his performance practice and deepened his understanding of Drama as an art form. Zachary is passionate about community-driven theatre and is committed to creating meaningful artistic opportunities for young people. During his time at UQ, he served on the executive board for the university’s theatre society, supporting productions and fostering creative collaboration. As an alumnus of Beenleigh’s Crete Street Theatre program, Zachary is excited to continue working with young performers, helping them build confidence, creativity, and performance skills through the arts.
