✈️ FLIGHT!
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Flight! A New Musical is no longer able to proceed with its September season as planned.

We know many of our patrons were looking forward to experiencing this exciting new work, and we sincerely apologise for any disappointment this announcement may cause.

Beenleigh Theatre Group remains committed to supporting new and original theatre, and we hope to be able to share further news about Flight! in the future.

Our Box Office team will be in contact with ticket holders directly regarding their bookings. There is no need to contact us in the meantime.

📣 NOTICE OF 2026 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Beenleigh Theatre Group’s 2026 Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday 27 September at 6:00pm at Crete Street Theatre.

All current BTG members have now been emailed the formal Notice of AGM, along with nomination forms for the 2026/27 Management Committee and Life Membership.

Want to help shape what happens at BTG over the coming year? Nominations are now open for members interested in joining the Management Committee.

🌹 Life Membership nominations
Members may also nominate an eligible member for Life Membership, recognising sustained service and dedication to Beenleigh Theatre Group.

Nominations for both close Sunday 13 September 2026.

Vale Dolly Parton | 1946–2026

It is difficult to know quite what to say about the loss of someone who seemed, somehow, to belong to everyone.

Dolly Parton gave the world an extraordinary catalogue of music, but the legacy she leaves behind is so much bigger than the songs. She was a storyteller, an entertainer, a philanthropist, a trailblazer and, by every account, a person of remarkable warmth and generosity.

She made people laugh. She made people feel seen. She championed literacy, education and opportunity, and quietly gave an extraordinary amount back to the world that loved her.

Here at Beenleigh Theatre Group, her passing feels particularly poignant as we prepare to bring 9 to 5: The Musical to our stage. What began for us as the opportunity to tell a joyful, funny and fiercely spirited story now carries a significance none of us could have anticipated.

Today, though, we simply join the countless people around the world remembering a woman who gave us so very much.

Thank you for the music, the laughter, the stories and the kindness, Dolly.

We will always love you. 🤍

✈️ DID YOU KNOW?

Leonardo da Vinci may be one of history’s most celebrated artists, but centuries before humans ever took to the skies, he was already imagining how we might get there.

Fascinated by the mechanics of flight, Leonardo studied birds and air currents and filled his notebooks with sketches for flying machines, including designs resembling wings, parachutes and even an early concept similar to a helicopter.

Many of his ideas would never leave the page during his lifetime, but they offer an extraordinary glimpse into just how long humanity has dreamed of FLIGHT! ✈️

Leonardo’s story is another of the threads woven through our original new work, coming soon to the Crete Street Theatre stage. 🎭
