Come to the Launch of the "BIG ART TEAM HUMAN" who will be CREATING AN ART DATABASE of protest street artist, musos and accessible posters for today's REBELS : Yes we are Loudly launching this Sat 12th October starting 11am
In one of Australia's most important Wetlands hidden off the back streets at Eagleby a bunch of Australia's Leading STREET ARTISTS(the original old skool REBELS) will be LIVE CELLO-GRAFF PAINTING launching its - Team Human campaign that aims to create the world's biggest database of protest posters,performers and LIVE artists to empower the next rebels in support of change.
Saturday's approach is different to the usual EXTINCTION REBELLION gig.
In every city protesters need artdesigns and the sounds that open our eyes and ears and senses to what we are losing - they define the placards that broadcast calls for change- they make the art and beats that disrupts our complacency and stands as society's conscience & critics. The Launch GIG is on World Migratory Bird day in a wetland where endangered birds flock from Russia and Japan to feed and roost among century old art- carved Aboriginal Scarred-up Ghost Gums. Street ARTISTS WILL before the public's eyes JOLT US into awareness of the life disappearing around us to the beats of the bushland. Eagleby was chosen as the Launcher Site as it stands as a good example of very important little places around Australia & the World that may be lost -a place where the mud & its bush & kids are significant - REALITY SPEAKS THAT WETLANDS ARE DISAPPEARING FASTER THAN FORESTS AND A ROAD DESTINED through its guts will make it an EAGLE SANDWICH with FREEWAYS to the North, East & West & it will = EXTINCTION of local humans & rare birds & animals !
There are no sidelines to stand on. Critical voices need to become hands which shape our interventions. In Eagleby for example - a real strugglers suburb there is the highest ratio of children 0-12 years in the Southern Hemisphere so a call out to creative community to help is vital - Street Art is a popular grown-up industry to offer their support and rally round the students and young people who face an uncertain future if we don't all take action.
NOW OR NEVER , we need to be radical.
We need to rise up and we want to ensure the cost on environment & local people is measured beyond just dollars and cents. Which comes to our reason of involvement- ALL TOGETHER- we need to share - creative people around Australia can add their talents & BIG ART to an archive free of charge - creatives can create and upload their own or download designs,sounds and creativity- adding to the continually growing open-source set of placard and rebel designs and rebel roars.
