Hi Friends,
The new owners of the Priory have advised me, by email, that they can no longer host the KCPThe victorian government has provided 200 million to support the "Positive Start Program" no doubt the Priory has been doing it tough as many accommodation and tourist businesses have over the past two years. They are running back to back school camps and using the weekend to prep for the next lot.The Old Priory has been a great place for more than twenty years, with over 200 beds and plenty of space for our event. no more.We have accommodated up to 60 musicians in the past, Subsidised by Pam Bell the previous owner (bless her I miss that laugh) and the new owners in 2019. without this support I can no longer run the event.
So sadly I have made the decision to draw the line and stop the KCP. We have had a good run and we will all miss it.
Mountain Grass will carry the flag and I will assist where I can, Rick Pann the new President ? not sure of his title, has some good ideas and is working to provide a good program for November.
I will post this on Facebook to let folk know of this decision, those of you who have brought tickets can have them refunded.
All's not lost. I have some possibilities in my neck of the woods, keep and ear out .
keep on picking
love and peace your ex director
