🤗 Come with me to Stable Studios!

This was such a lovely day of creating - starting with a good coffee, as always. It’s so amazing having this light filled space to let the creativity flow and knock off a few different projects in one go. Not mentioned in the audio, my maximum level of stoke for having a long enough cutting table for a full length of fabric 🙌

If you’re interested in coming to a sewing workshop, give me a wave! Lots of ideas are brewing in this space and we can’t wait to see you soon 🌹Heather

Spaces are now open for “Intro to Anatomy” - an art class with Richard Hamilton.

This figure drawing art class focuses on building a practical understanding of anatomy to help drawings feel more natural and believable, exploring the foundations of gesture, structure, and rendering with a focus on structure through basic skeletal and muscle anatomy. Working from a live model, participants will be introduced to key body landmarks and how they connect, helping to identify and correct common issues with proportion and form in a simplified, artist-focused approach to drawing the human figure with more confidence and realism.

Sunday… where do we even start?

Congratulations again to on an incredible opening. We’re sure you would have heard it as much as we did - your artist talk was inspiring and deeply thought-provoking.

For those who missed it, Emanuela’s exhibition I AM, I HAVE will be on show until 24 May at the Studios. Current opening hours are 10am–12pm daily until 11 May, with times to be confirmed beyond then.

We also can’t forget our Studio Warming following the exhibition opening - what a stellar turnout! We’re so grateful for the support from Beechworth and surrounds, and we can’t wait to welcome you back again.

We’re so excited to be opening our first exhibition, I AM, I HAVE by this Sunday 26th April and would love for you to be part of it.

After the exhibition, we’ll be staying on for a couple of hours and warmly invite you to pop in, say hello, and spend some time with us in our new space.

We’ll have the fire pits going, so you can settle in, have a chat, and enjoy a relaxed evening together. or pop by for a quick look!

You’ve been asking, we’ve been listening! New workshops are now live on our website 🥳

Idle Hands Life Drawing and First Stitch sewing workshops are officially open for bookings via our website.

Katie’s much-loved life drawing sessions are back for Term 2. These sessions fill so quickly, so if you’ve been meaning to join, now is the time to lock in your spot. Sign up for either the full term, Sunday Sessions or RSVP for information on casual classes.

Sewing has been high on the wishlist from day one, and it is finally here. Heather is kicking things off with First Stitch, with both adult and kids classes available. This is just the beginning, with more workshops and skill-building sessions to come in future.

Join us for an afternoon with Emanuela, for her exhibition I AM, I HAVE - where art and culture come together.

Alongside her exhibition, she’ll be sharing traditional Serbian and Croatian flavours - including ajvar, rosehip jam, and rakija (fruit brandy) - plus a homemade apple and carob cake based on her mum’s recipe.

As honoured in Emie’s painting, the carob tree can live for hundreds of years - with its fruit embraced in its own right, not as a substitute for chocolate.

Our first Espresso at Home session this morning was such a good time ☕

We went all the way from plant to cup - roasting, storage, dialing in shots, cleaning, and plenty of real-life troubleshooting along the way.

Big thanks to Kate and Jane for bringing great energy (and great questions). So good to see those skills come together… And that milk 👀 the shine says it all.

We’re already looking forward to the next one - keep an eye on the website for upcoming dates!

So our street address is a little confusing…

We thought we’d better show you how to find Stable Studios!

From Ford street, head down the alley next to Lemongrass Cafe (“the sushi shop”) and turn right when you get to the end of the building. Continue past the High Street carpark - which is another easy way to find us - and look out for the big yellow barn doors!
