Not long now until the first Solstice at the Stables Market! ✨

Join us on Sunday 21 June from 4–9pm at 58B Ford Street, Beechworth. We’ll also have access to the beautifully refinished store at 56 Ford Street, so take the opportunity to wander through the store and out into our courtyard.

Celebrate the winter solstice with an evening showcasing local artisans, makers, food, music and community.

If you’ve noticed 56 Ford Street has had a makeover, you’d be right!

With thanks to our lovely landlords for letting us dress the windows, we’ve added a little glimpse of what’s to come for Solstice at the Stables, our Winter Artisan Market on Sunday 21st June from 4-9pm.

On the night, selected stallholders will be set up through the storefront, leading you out to the courtyard where the main market will come to life.

Stable Studios is proud to introduce the next level in our sewing workshop series, The Next Stitch.

This workshop is perfect for beginner to intermediate sewists who want to make something they’ll actually wear on rotation.

A cult classic among the sewing community, the Ilford Jacket is an independent pattern by . We think this is the perfectly accessible, gender neutral and seasonally appropriate project for anyone wanting to take the next step in their sewing skills.

Now is a great time to sign up for our monthly Espresso at Home class, on Sunday 14th June from 10am-12:30pm.

Bringing a wealth of coffee knowledge to the table and years of barista training experience, Heather will take the guesswork out of making the perfect espresso at home. The coffee will be free flowing on the day, as will the caffeine-fuelled banter.

Introducing BATCAT!

BATCAT is a small collective of creatives within Beechworth and surrounds aiming to engage young people with art and get more creativity into the world, all the while keeping their values of sustainability close to heart.

Join Katie and Charles from June 6 - July 11, as they host workshops designed for (and approved by!) primary school aged children.

For the pre-schoolers: two activities will be set up each week, such as easel painting & clay; printing & cardboard construction; collage & drawing.

For the big kids: Block 1 will be Beading and Jewellery making, with a different focus each week!

Sessions can be booked via our website for the following times, on Saturday mornings for 6 weeks:

3-5 year old program: 10:00am-11:30am
6-12 years old program: 12:30pm-2:30pm

It’s been just over 3 months since we picked up the keys to the studio… and somehow, it already feels like a little world of its own.

In these few short months, we’ve poured so much love into this space. We’ve designed every asset from scratch, launched a website we’re incredibly proud of, curated the most perfect collection of furniture, and sent each other approximately 126,799 messages along the way (give or take a few.)

We’ve run close to 30 workshops, hosted our very first art exhibition and launch party, and slowly watched the studio transform into something far bigger than we imagined - a space that feels warm, welcoming, creative, and overwhelmingly cosy. The support from our Beechworth community has been overwhelming in the best possible way 🥰

It’s hard to put into words what it feels like to watch an idea become a place people gather, create, connect, and feel at home in.

This is just the beginning… where will we be in another 3?
