Southern Cultural Immersion is excited to be managing operations of the Living Kaurna Cultural Centre at Warriparinga. As is the case in all aspects of our business, in this project we will strive to promote and nurture reconciliation and cultural respect towards First Nations people within Australia. We have been glad to work with City of Marion on this important milestone in Warriparinga’s histo

ry. We are proud that the site’s operations are in the hands of a Kaurna owned and managed business. The Living Kaurna Cultural Centre remains open to visitors, and will offer a fresh take on the art gallery and retail space set in the sprawling and culturally significant grounds. Southern Cultural Immersion will ensure the Living Kaurna Cultural Centre is a major location for First Nations celebrations in South Australia, including music performances and markets. Cultural training, community engagement, art and cultural workshops and cultural tours will also be on offer.

Join Southern Cultural Immersion, Green Adelaide, and the City of Marion as we come together to celebrate Reconciliation Week at this FREE community event, everyone is welcome!

Experience an incredible day of culture, connection and community with free cultural activities, live entertainment, delicious food, refreshing drinks and so much more!

✨ Blak Santa is heading back to Kaurna County for NUNGA CHRISTMAS AT WARRIPARINGA! ✨ Join us on Saturday 29 November, 12-3pm for a festive celebration with a cultural twist 👏🏾 The whole event is free of charge, and we've got a HUGE line up to keep the whole family entertained 👇🏾

🎅🏾 Blak Santa will be there to make his list and check it twice, and giving out gifts to all kids attending! 🎅🏾
🎄 Huge inflatables, including an eco maze! 🎄
🎶 Live acoustic music, including all the Christmas favourites performed by Aboriginal musicians 🎶
🦎 Native animals to meet and cuddle (yes, Snuffles the Wombat will be there!) 🦎
🪃 Welcome to County and smoking ceremony 🪃
👣 Traditional dance performance, and workshop 👣
📚 Storytelling session 📚
🌭 Free sausage sizzle and ice creams 🍦
🎪 Heaps of games and activities for all ages 🎪

🎉 We are thrilled to be recipients of a Green Adelaide Grassroots Grant! The grants are aimed at facilitating a greener future, and we'll be using ours for the 'Preserving Kaurna Heritage at Warriparinga' project 👏🏾 The project will involve revegetation of the Warriparinga space with species native to this specific area, as well as the creation and instillation of signage about the sacred cultural heritage features here 🤎 Thank you to Green Adelaide to make this important work possible! Watch this space to see everything come to life 👀
