Come celebrate with us as my work is showcased alongside peers and lecturers in an impromptu anonymous exhibition, opening on Wednesday, September 2nd!

Our challenge: Create a captivating, original piece using just one A1 sheet that highlights creativity, experimentation, and imagination.

📅 Dates: September 2–10

Applying surface treatments to copper is an exciting process, full of bespoke magic each time! These pendants were meticulously etched, oxidised, or fumigated to achieve stunning effects.

Creating a copper patina over a few minutes to several hours is incredible – it’s a natural process that takes hundreds of years in the wild. I am thankful to the clever people who learned they could control it.

A productive morning in Rod’s sculpture studio with our wonderful life model Linda.

I warmed up with speedy 3, 5, and 10-minute clay sketches. Focusing on larger forms and angles.

After the break I worked on a longer pose with emphasis on the flat planes of the body.

One of my favourite things is seeing Casey in the props room and hearing about his ideas and concepts - to then seeing them in reality. I especially loved his ingenious idea for painting this entire prop in well under an hour!!

(Casey was my husband Stewart’s lecturer and they worked on The Construct together )
