Tiny fins… BIG glow up! 🐟✨

Some of you may remember when Seahorse World celebrated the incredible birth of our Critically Endangered red handfish babies ❤️

Fast forward to today… look at them now! From tiny little hatchlings to growing young handfish . It has been amazing watching them develop and thrive under the care of our dedicated team.

The red handfish is one of the rarest fish in the world, found only in Tasmania, with fewer than 100 adults estimated to remain in the wild. Instead of swimming like most fish, they “walk” along the seafloor using their hand-like fins — which makes them one of the most unique marine species on the planet.

Every successful birth and every healthy juvenile is an important step in helping protect the future of this incredible species. Conservation programs like these are vital to raising awareness and giving these remarkable little fish a fighting chance.

We are so proud to be part of their journey 💙
