Baxter Jazz and Blues Dance

Hello!!

Last night was fab!! Thanks so much to Noni and Coco for traveling down to teach us some Blues dance. Lot's of juicy content, great clips and musical structure was consumed, well done everyone!!

We are planning another Blues workshop so stay tuned for that announcement!

Tonight though, we dance some Lindy Hop. Hope you can make it!!

7pm Beginners - Still mixing those classic rhythms. Everyone has been smashing it the past few weeks. We'll continue building that social dancing.

8pm Intermediate - Revisiting some moves from the last few weeks highlighting how to build and dance rotational flow.

Thursday has rocked around again and it's dance time! Yay!

We have some excellent news! See below ⤵️

But first!

7pm Beginners - Everyone welcome! We're still on kicks, it's fun!

We cover the basics each week so today is a great day to join us!

8pm Intermediate - We're revisiting all of last weeks class and adding on! So a recap, and building more on the same phrase from our Soochan and Young classes at Jumptown Jam.

We are very excited to announce we have some guest teachers coming to teach the blues this June and maybe even hopefully, possibly! on the regular!!

First up will be the amazing Noni Healy and Coco Young!!

Noni was one of our first ever teachers of both Swing and Blues dancing and we can't wait to host her and Coco in our little hall!

Coco Young has recently joined us from Auckland and has been teaching around NZ for years. He also is a contemporary dancer and personal trainer so between the two, we're in great hands!

Hello!!

Thursday has swung around again😎and we are ready to go!!

7pm Beginners🦵 - We start kicks off this week. New ideas, rhythms, fun!! We'll explore kicks in Charleston, 6 beat and 8 beat! Come join, we always start with the basics of lead and follow for social dance! No partner needed!

8pm Intermediate 🦿- Last year we learned from Elze and Peter and we're bringing some of it today including sugar pushes and a little bit of kicks!

Come to one for $20 or both for $30!!

PS - We won't dance that⬇️ fast😄

It's our last night of the year!
