🎭 Calling all young creatives (and their parents)!

At Bathurst Theatre Company, we believe there may be a gap in the local theatre space for young people, and we're exploring how we can help fill it. But before we create something new, we want to hear directly from the people it would be for.

Whether you're a young performer, interested in backstage roles, love being creative, or you're a parent of a theatre-loving child, we'd love your input.

Our Youth Theatre Expression of Interest will help us understand what opportunities young people in Bathurst are looking for, whether that's productions, workshops, skill development, leadership opportunities, or something completely different.

Parents are welcome to complete the form on behalf of their child, or older children and teens can fill it out themselves.

This isn't an audition or commitment to participate – it's simply a chance to help shape what youth theatre in Bathurst could look like.

THIS SATURDAY! Step back in time to the golden age of radio as Bathurst Theatre Company brings the magic of the 1930s–40s to life at Keystone 1889. Enjoy an unforgettable evening of dinner and a show, featuring two live radio plays and music from the era, performed just as audiences would have experienced it decades ago.

The highlight of the night is the highly anticipated premiere of Who Framed Myrtle Murgatroyd?, the brand-new work from playwright Phil Sanders and the sequel to last year’s hit Errol Flynn’s Middle Wicket. When we last saw Alan and Myrtle, they were busy foiling a N**i plot… this time, Myrtle is accused of murder. Set in 1930s Hollywood, this witty, fast-paced mystery asks: when your girlfriend is framed and you’re a struggling Australian actor, who do you call? The Hollywood Cricket Club, of course!

Featuring special guest A Country Practice star Shane Porteous alongside a talented local cast, this immersive theatrical experience blends suspense, nostalgia, and live performance in a truly unique way.

Gather your friends, settle in with a meal, and let us transport you back to a time when stories crackled over the airwaves and imaginations ran wild.
