We didn’t win the award. But we are honoured to have been a finalist at the Eurobodalla Business Awards 2026, in the Excellence in the Arts category.

Thanks to Eurobodalla Council for establishing this award. Recognition like this has practical value for small arts organisations, making the case for what they do.

Sculpture for Clyde started 10 years ago, with 3 goals:
1. Bring visitors to Batemans Bay in the off-season,
2. Give emerging and student artists genuine exposure, and
3. Create a procurement pathway for public art in the area.

There are now 18 permanent sculptures on the Batemans Bay sculpture walk, which has contributed to the region becoming a more distinctive destination.

Thank you to our volunteers. We have a core committee of 6, but we are supported by many more volunteers across the event. The countless hours of work and enthusiasm is what makes the event possible.

To the artists (especially when cost of living is high and sculpture takes time and money, with no guarantee of winning an award or selling the work). That risk is real, and it matters that artists continue to make independent work rather than us retreating to commission work. We respect that, and this event exists in part to support it.

Thank you to the local businesses and sponsors that have supported the event over the years. Thanks for your generosity and commitment. Thanks for believing that investing in the arts helps create a vibrant, thriving Eurobodalla.

Finally, thank you to our community for embracing the event and continuing to support local artists and creative industries.

We look forward to continuing to grow Sculpture for Clyde in the years ahead.

Well last night we were treated to a very special phenomenon. The full moon was a blue moon and a micromoon. It made for a wonderful photographic opportunity for the sculptures on the foreshore. Here are some amazing shots by local teacher Laura Tyler (A huge thank you for sharing these Laura!). Tonight is expected to be similar. We would love to see some more photos if you take any!
