Yay! We love love love trees ❤️

There’s a magical solution to combat climate change that’s been around for centuries: trees. These natural wonders draw carbon from the air, cost very little, and help build our planet’s future. Yet, deforestation is stripping us of this powerful ally.

Trees not only play a critical role in the environment by improving air quality but also provide shelter, food, and support to countless species. We must protect them.

Let’s shift our focus to sustainability by planting more trees and creating a future that is green and thriving. 🌳🌍

Rest. Renew. Remember. Wayapa ways....

My Wayapa thought for the day is about this wild orchid I came across on Barapa Barapa country yesterday.

As I walked with my cousin, looking for midden mounds and signs of our living culture and history I saw this little beauty. Growing amongst the trees and a fence line.

It's roots deep into Mother Earth, neighbour to a tree. Surrounded by bark, clay balls and on the edge of the oven mound. A beautiful sight. Like a gift. Wonder what kind of bloom it will have?

How did you connect to Mother Earth today?
