We have shows for everyone, from kids to seniors, with easy access by car or public transport. Bryan Brown is one of Australia's most iconic and globally-renowned film and television actors. He has starred in many hit movies, such as The Thorn Birds, Cocktail, Australia, and Red Dog - True Blue. He has also appeared on stage in several productions, his most recent being Travelling North with the S

ydney Theatre Company. Brown was inducted into the Logie Hall of Fame in 1989 and was named 'Best Actor in a Supporting Role' at the Australian Film Institute (AFI) awards for Breaker Morant and Two Hands. Brown spent his childhood growing up in Panania and attended St Luke's Primary School at Revesby. In September 2013, the then Mayor of Bankstown, Clr Khal Asfour, officially named the theatre at the Bankstown Library and Knowledge Centre after Bryan Brown. At the official naming ceremony, Mr Brown said: "Bankstown has played a great part in my life, particularly as a young man growing up in Panania, where I caught the bus to Bankstown pool to learn to swim and to the Bankstown Cinema to catch a film or two".
