The Bangalow Theatre Company (BTC) is a newly established not-for-profit incorporated association passionate about the performing arts and the Bangalow community. It’s with great excitement that we announce BTC’s next production:

A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE

One of the most iconic and explosive plays ever written, Tennessee Williams’ masterpiece is coming to Byron Theatre in October/November 2026.

Directed by award-winning director Amy Skene, alongside the celebrated creative team behind Into The Woods, this production promises to be bold, raw and unforgettable.

We’re also thrilled to announce that acclaimed Australian actress, Madeleine West, will take on the role of Blanche DuBois, bringing one of theatre’s most complex and captivating characters to life.

Our Audition Pack, Audition Form and all the information you will need to register to audition will be up on our website from tomorrow — Thursday 28th May.

First round auditions will be held in person at Byron Theatre on Wednesday 24th June. For those unable to attend in person, video submissions will also be accepted until Wednesday 17th June.

Please note this production is strictly 18+.

We cannot wait to bring this extraordinary show to life and meet you all in the audition room!
