What a concert! What a finale to a rewarding year singing with Cloud9 Women's Choir.

Guiding Light was our theme and Kerry led us to a wonderful and moving performance that our full house really appreciated.

That was last Saturday.

On Thursday our AGM was held as was the annual celebration of a choir member. This year's Wiggs Award recipient is pictured here.

Diana (on right) has been singing with us for 18 years that includes some with Elation Women's Choir from whence Cloud9 evolved.

If you're thinking about what you might challenge yourself with next year, then think about singing with us.

Singing is sometimes described as Gym for the Brain, so our gym-sing begins again next year Thursday 5th Febrruary at North Balwyn Uniting Church.

We are so chuffed at Cloud9 Women’s Choir to see our founding Music Director now wowing us all on one of the biggest stages in the world. The Proms. Tianyi Lu we never forget your talent and enthusiasm some 12 years ago that set us on our musical journey. Now we admire you as you share your talent worldwide.

In a few hours I’ll be making my BBC Proms debut with the BBC Symphony Orchestra in the Royal Albert Hall, Live radio broadcast in 4 hours on BBC Radio 3. Today I will be dedicating our performance of the Puccini Preludio Sinfonico to Sir Andrew Davis who inspired me so much and whom I miss dearly. His love for music and enthusiasm for life will always stay with us. I feel honoured that I had the chance to meet him and work with him. The photo below was taken directly after the Proms concert we gave in Melbourne with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in 2018.

Cloud9 Women’s Choir really loved sharing our music with those at the Surrey Hills Music Festival (https:www.surreyhillsmusicfestival.com) last Saturday.

To the extent that we were approached by women keen to join with us in our joy of singing together.

Tonight they turned up to our Thursday night rehearsal.
