BCMA Little Froggies BCMA offers pre-school classes for 1.5 - 5 year olds. Our "Little Froggies" program offers classes filled with music, dancing and fun.

Our "Little Froggies" pre-school classes offer classes filled with music and dancing for 1.5 - 5 year olds. The fundamentals of both disciplines are taught in a progressive and child friendly way by specialist teachers. Students learn to understand concepts of pitch, dynamics and rhythm, learn to read basic music notation, build confidence and a love of singing, moving and dancing. Physically they

develop co-ordination, strength and flexibility. Stickers & certificates reward the levels achieved and provide a guide for assessable standards but the enormous fun and huge smiles reflect what the classes are really about. Many students who began in these sessions remain with us throughout their dancing, acting and musical studies. It’s a great place to begin and gain a strong foundation.

🎻✨ Exciting News for Elise!
We are so proud to share that one of our wonderful string teachers, Elise, has been accepted into the highly competitive Master of Music (Historical Violin) course at the prestigious HKU Utrecht Conservatory in The Netherlands!

This is an extraordinary achievement and a true reflection of Elise’s dedication, talent, and passion for music. She will begin her studies in September, which sadly means she’ll be finishing her teaching at BCMA at the end of Term 2.

While we’re sad to see her go, we couldn’t be more thrilled for her to take on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Elise has been such a valued part of our BCMA family, inspiring her students and sharing in their musical journeys. We know her experience in The Netherlands will only deepen her artistry and teaching in the future, and we hope to welcome her back one day!

Freddy is a pretty amazing kid? And funny. And a great shoe-shine boy.

Freddy is ten years old and this is his third year at BCMA. Freddy is excited to be playing the role of Ed the dim-witted Hyena in the ‘Lion King Jnr’, he has been practicing his wacky laugh!

In his first year at BCMA Freddy played one of the Wickersham Brothers in ‘Seussical Jnr’, he has also been a Street Rat in BCMA’s production of ‘Aladdin Jr’. Freddy loves participating in street performances, he had heaps of fun with his BCMA friends taking part in the Christmas and Easter entertainment around Ballarat, dancing in the Begonia parade, and most recently being a Shoeshine Boy at the Ballarat Heritage Festival.

Freddy loves practical jokes, watching cartoons, doing science experiments and inventing things. He also loves hanging around with all his friends at BCMA. His favourite musical is Newsies. Freddy is excited to perform on stage along with his friends from BCMA to show everyone this amazing musical.

Last minute Christmas shopping?

Look no further. The perfect gift for your child, grandchild, parent, partner, neighbour or friend who loves to dance, act and/or sing is a 2022 BCMA Gift voucher. These can be set up for any of our sessions be they individaul or group.

Email [email protected] and let us know who you would like the voucher for and to what value. We will email out your electronic voucher to you for your loved one. Vouchers to be purchased before 5pm this Thursday 23rd December and preferably will be applied to Term 1 - 2022.

Don't forget that we have adult tap classes for your crazy friends who wold love to give this a go.
