Like many artists on Instagram, I've noticed that some of my art has been labelled "Likely Made with AI" - what a bunch of nonsense.
I’m guessing Instagram used AI to detect AI… and surprise, surprise got it completely wrong.
So now, not only are they stealing from artists, they are slandering us.
Please know that all my work comes from my dumb human head, and is scribbled into existence by my dumb human hand.
From the first rough sketch to the last dollop of colour. No shortcuts. No generated artwork. Just hours of work, a pencil, a mouse and my achey breaky fingers. I've been grinding away at this for DECADES - way before these unlovable robotic nerds vomited up these AI slop buckets. I'm not even that good, all I see is the mistakes I make in every piece that I send out into the Universe. Also, i should have spent this 2 hour window of angst creating art... not defending my ability to create it... far out, this is a s**t timeline to exist in.
I'd show more of my process, but AI studies that too, in an effort to make AI slop appear to be more like human slop!
Anyhoo, it is just so disheartening.
