Some of you may recall, a little while ago, I mentioned a long term art project that I was in the planning stages of, called ‘The People I’ve Met!’.
Well somehow I’ve accidentally gotten from planning to actually doing. 😂
Honestly, I wasn’t sure how I was going to nor where to start, but started I have.
So, I figured before I post any of the paintings involved, I should describe how the project works.
Because my artistic style is a type of automatic drawing/painting, I decided to catch up with people and while we have a chat over a cuppa or drink, I would draw and paint what I feel during our conversation and see what happens.
Once the initial catch up is complete, I take the drawing and following my intuition and the energy raised, I then do one of these things, project the drawing onto a canvas, then paint it, leave it on the medium it has been drawn on and colour or paint it, or I just clean it up and add fine details.
The image or piece is given the name of the person(first name only) and I ask them to write a personal message to go with the image.
Some of these pieces will be included in my colouring book and maybe one day an oracle deck.
My hope is to be able to hold my own exhibition, once I have enough work.
