The Ballarat Singers were delighted to be part of Ballarat’s Heritage Festival, filling the Cathedral with the timeless beauty of Love Divine, All Loves Excelling.

What a splendid afternoon of music, fellowship and shared voices beneath those glorious arches — a reminder that heritage is not only found in old buildings, but in the songs, traditions and community spirit we continue to carry forward together.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who came along to sing, listen and celebrate with us. Music, after all, is one of the finest ways to keep history alive

There’s something timeless about voices rising together at Christmas — friends, neighbours, and families sharing the joy of song. This year, we’re inviting current and former choir members (and a few brave new ones!) to rejoin the ranks for a short, spirited season of carols.

We’ll be performing at Ballan Community Carols on Saturday 6 December at 5 PM, and again at the historic Ballarat Mechanics Institute on Monday 8 December — two evenings of festive music, community warmth, and that unmistakable buzz of shared harmony.

Rehearsals are held every Monday at 5:15 PM in Trades Hall, Camp Street, Ballarat. No auditions, no pressure — just a friendly atmosphere, plenty of laughter, and a few cups of tea along the way.

If you’ve sung with us before, we’d love to have you back for this special season. If you’ve never sung but always wanted to, now’s the perfect time. One month, two concerts, and a memory that will last the year through.

Come, lend your voice. Let’s fill the halls of Ballan and Ballarat with carols, goodwill, and that glorious sound only community can create.

Kevin will be on ABC Ballarat radio (107.9fm) tomorrow (Thursday) around 7:50am to talk about The Ballarat Singers concert at the Anglican Cathedral Church of Christ the King - Ballarat, this Friday evening starting at 7:30pm- part of Ballarat Heritage Festival 2025.
