Hi friends, fam and fans.
Unfortunately, after some deliberation, I have decided to put the LadderFrame project to rest. It has been a really challenging couple of years (have u heard?) and I have realised for a multitude of reasons, I am not ready to drive this project in the way I had initially intended.
I hope that LF will be back in some capacity one day, as it has been an absolute joy to create theatre with the great team we have acquired. I am sad to have to give up this little dream of mine, but I think we have all come to learn that it is best to not force things and to be gentle with ourselves and our capabilities in these times. I cannot wait to spend some time travelling and just chilling out sans stress and limitations (haha we’ll see) and giving the old mind a little break.
I hope this announcement if anything reminds others who are struggling that nothing is more important than your health and happiness.
I thank all of our supporters and close friends, cast and crew, audiences near and far for your support over the last year and a half and hope that maybe one day LadderFrame can come back stronger, with some fantastic creative projects to share.
For now, we take our final bow.

It is with heavy hearts and full pint glasses that we announce the cancellation of our original show “Cuppa?”. Refunds will come this week. We love you all. A cuppa simply won’t do this time, bottoms up.

❗️ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING CUPPA?❗️

Hi all, in these uncertain, incredibly stressful and tumultuous times, putting on a full production show has been a hugely risky and optimistic goal for us to have. Upon receiving the Victorian roadmap, our endeavour to deliver a quality product by the start of November has become more difficult to achieve and we have had to reposition the goal posts by a couple of centimetres.

No need to fret, our show goes ahead! But with a slight difference. “Cuppa?” will now be delivered as an online production to which you can buy tickets and enjoy in the comfort of your own home with your family and friends! You will be able to buy or rent the filmed production, and we will let you know exactly how very soon.

We appreciate the support of those who have already bought tickets to the show. We will contact you directly to organise refunds and/or redirection to online ticketing once we have finalised the platform and delivery.

We hope that this redirection to an online product will invite a much wider reach, especially to our friends in Melbourne, interstate and overseas who would’ve otherwise missed out, and we are excited for the notion of pizza and cocktail watch-parties that you can all partake in whilst watching our show.

OI YOU LOT LISTEN UP!

We’re looking to hire a couple of music acts to open for our 2021 season of our original show “Cuppa?” at the BMI!

AND we also want to showcase local art, goods, small businesses in the form of stall holders again, to help celebrate and give a platform to the amazing independent talents and arts in Ballarat to sell their stuff. This could be anything sellable under the sun (jewellery, art, prints, merch).

Music acts and stallholders will also obvs get to stick around and watch the show.

POV: When you and your housemates have been stuck in what feels like an eternal lockdown together, and three hours into a reality-show binge sesh you hear the neighbours bringing in their bins and you realise you all forgot bin day again but you almost can’t be bothered blaming someone because what is the point of anything anymore, everything is futile and the only thing that matters is whether Brooke is getting a damn rose this week or not.

We began this show’s journey at the end of May this year, and so far a majority of our rehearsals have been conducted online. We are resilient and we find a way to make it work, but essentially this is the reality for all the arts industries at the moment.

We send love to all the artists and creatives doing it tough right now, and we cannot wait to see the arts thrive again hopefully in the near future.

Tickets are now available for our upcoming show “Cuppa?”, and can be found in our bio. While it seems weird to book tickets for things at the moment, we appreciate your support and can’t wait to show you what we’ve created, in whatever medium that might be.

Tickets are now live for our debut production of “Cuppa?”!

I know it feels counter-intuitive to buy tickets to something in the middle of a state-wide lockdown, but rest assured that this show will happen, and your tickets will remain viable even if we have to livestream the show. Our hard working actors and crew are paid according to ticket sales, so we appreciate any and all support you can afford!

“Cuppa?” is an original play written, directed and performed by our small LadderFrame ensemble featuring original music and outstanding sound and light design.

We are so excited to announce that we will be debuting our new original play “Cuppa?” in Ballarat this November!

Rehearsals are well under way for this exciting piece that has been written and directed and will be performed all by our 6 person ensemble.

With a great crew of fantastic local creatives to help us out, we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on.
