We are excited to have engaged Heidi Taylor, Dreams We Hold, to run two free workshops to help you reach audiences and promoters. If you are launching a new album, book, film, theatre production, exhibition, workshop, tour, gig... ?

In the first session, Heidi will share what you need in your very own Media Kit. What promotional assets are a must? What designs work or don't? How to sell yourself and your work in an authentic, non-cringey way? What info does the media, promoters and your audience need to know?

Meet Patrick, a recent winner of the Heywire ABC Ballarat Takeover program. Along with many other Ballarat young people, Patrick shared his story earlier this year as part of the ABC program. Patrick hosts the weather and events update radio segment at his school. The weekly program provides him with an outlet for his voice to be heard and his confidence to grow. Patrick hopes to host his very own radio program (hello Voice FM Ballarat) and to make his mark.
We look forward to tuning into hear more from Patrick in the future. Congratulations Patrick! Check out his video below.

Stella Young Award 2026 now open.
In honour and recognition of Stella Young's impact on society through her early work with Disability Media Australia, Arts Access Victoria has announced the 2026 Stella Young Award is open to applications.

This is a great opportunity for young disabled artists aged between 16 and 30 years old to be recognised for their impact on disability activism and culture through their artistic practice (in comedy, performing arts or screen culture). Find out more via the link below.
