I’m quite a fan of the Sydney to Hobart yacht race and like to watch the start most years of possible. It has taken place every Boxing Day (26 December) since 1945!

On this particular occasion we had the chance to watch the start from the water, right out near the Heads! What a magnificent exciting spectacle! Those front runners are massive and incredibly fast on the water.

Coupled with the majesty of the yachts and their billowing sails, the many spectator craft add to the atmosphere. It really is a site well worth seeing.

And the start is just the beginning. Many challenges lie ahead, across the several days of sailing. It is not a race for the faint hearted!

I am thrilled to announce my solo exhibition ~
C O N N E C T I O N S Land Sea Sky ~ with 😄 It is my first solo with this beautiful gallery and I would love you to come! The show opens from Thursday 21 September to 8 October with Artist drinks on the Saturday 23 September from 3-5pm.

Lots on the go in the studio at the moment. I haven’t been posting as much as I’m focusing on getting my next body of work together for my solo …next month!! This process is challenging and enjoyable. It requires much reflection about what is important in my art practice and what I wish to express. I’m thankful for the opportunity and to all those who have encouraged and supported me in my journey this far. 🙏😊🙏

I’m away from my studio at present but managed to bring a couple of small works and a desktop easel away with me to progress works in the quiet moments… I love seeing that beautiful sandstone while cruising past on the ferry. This one still a work in progress of course!
