Another great local event for those that enjoy their fun runs!

The Metung Fun Run - powered by The HIIT Factory Bairnsdale - is less than a month away!! Have you bought your tickets yet?

This annual event (which was named the Community Event of the Year last year, by the Gippsland Shire Council) is the major fundraising event for Primary School.

There are four events to choose from:

- 10km run (a timed event)
- 5km run (a timed event)
- 5km walk (ideal for families and individuals of all ages and fitness levels)
- 1km kids' colour dash (fun for primary school aged children and younger)

Calling all kids who like having good, messy fun! The annual Kid's Colour Dash is back again this year - and it's only $5 per person! This event is for kids of primary school age or younger, this 1KM dash is the best way to start your Fun Run Sunday! Community is at the heart of what the Apex Club of Bairnsdale stands for, and their aim to provide a FREE fun community event in the fire affected town of Buchan, came together with flying colours - quite literally!

Around 300 people, made up of locals, visitors, participants and volunteers, were involved in the 3klm walk/run held on a sunny October day.

Participants of all ages enjoyed a fun family atmosphere with music, food vendors and tons of colour, and it was particularly wonderful to see so many young children run their hearts out for the course, then get on the finish line with huge smiles, ready to toss colour on the adults!

Congratulations to Apex Club of Bairnsdale for producing a fantastic event and completing your acquittal.
