Player two wanted ๐ฎ Support workers, we love having you here ๐
Some of our favourite moments at Casual Gaming happen when external providers bring the people they support along. Sure, we could be selfish and keep every NDIS support in our room to ourselves (it'd probably be good for business ๐
). But that's not who we are.
How support looks in here matters. It matters for the person you support, and it reflects on all of us. Our community also has a strong sense of justice, so we ask everyone, especially those who are paid to be here, to give back to it. Here's what that looks like ๐
๐ฎ Join the game. Pick up a controller, grab the next seat and play along. Chat, encourage and notice what your participant is enjoying and working towards.
๐ต Skip the sidelines. Scrolling on your phone or watching from the edge of the room isn't NDIS support, even if your participant says it's okay. Support workers come in free, so we just ask that you jump in with them.
๐ฑ Building independence? We love that! Share the plan and timeline with us so our team can recognise the progress and back it in.
Support Workers from external providers can join us with their own clients in our Casual Gaming Sessions, from 3pm weekdays and 12pm on Saturdays. Read the full support worker expectations, link in the comments ๐
