Hide + Seek Festival A biennial arts festival connecting communities through music, art, food and local discovery across Moorabool. Stay Tuned! Program to be announced soon.

Join us for Hide + Seek Presents, an all-ages series of music, storytelling and literary experiences across Moorabool throughout November 2026. Delivered biennially, Hide + Seek Festival (HSF) is a platform event showcasing Moorabool Shire’s unique townships and their Arts, Culture and Agricultural experiences. Moorabool Shire is just 45 minutes drive north west from the CBD of Melbourne and boasts many amazing musical artists and venues as well as grand landscapes, dense forests, spectacular gorges, quaint old gold mining towns and a deep and rich history through the Wadawurrung and the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung of the Kulin Nations. The 2024 event will be held on 2 - 10 November, across the regional towns of Blackwood, Gordon, Bacchus Marsh and Ballan. Wander through old gold mining towns and listen to some bluegrass, indie folk, rockabilly, blues and pop music inside venues ranging from an antique store to a bowling club to a caravan to a church to a hat shop. Come and see and hear the uniqueness the region has to offer and it’s all free! All ages welcome. Presented by Moorabool Shire Council

We’re on the lookout for a creative producer to collaborate with us to help bring Hide+Seek Presents to life.

Hide+Seek Presents is a series of music and literature events coming to Bacchus Marsh, Ballan and Blackwood later in 2026, forming a bridge to the 2027 Hide and Seek Festival.

It’s a small, flexible engagement (around 40 hours across the project), supporting the planning and delivery alongside our team. Developed by Moorabool Shire Council with support from Regional Arts Victoria, the series will bring high-quality creative experiences to communities across the shire.

If this sounds like you, or someone in your network, we’d love to start a conversation.
