Preps- Today they completed their 2 medium artwork. They used watercolour to paint a story of a holiday they went on. Then used oil pastels to draw patterns on top. They chose contrasting colours so they would stand out. They also used a variety of lines that we have learnt this year. Well done preps!

Year 1: As part of their nature art unit, they practiced their rubbing technique with crayons and leaves from our beautiful school gardens.
They chose the leaves, colours and patterns for their design! So beautiful!
We then looked at everyone’s final products and discussed the art elements of colour, space, and shape used in the artworks. They did a fantastic job of respectfully sharing their opinions. Well done year 1!

Year 1 - Today the year 1 students continued creating artworks based around flowers and gardens. They experimented with paint and a variety of tools: paint brushes, cue tips, paint stamps, sponges, toothbrushes, material brushes. The students designed their artwork, chose their colours and tools to create their design.
