Last chance to nominate! The Gold Coast Music Awards, the Gold Coast’s premier music industry event, will celebrate its 10th year in 2024, and nominations are closing soon.

Nominations are open across 10 categories, including Artist, Breakout Artist, Live Act, Musician, Release, Song, Studio Producer, Venue, Video and Visual Creative of the Year. ⁠

Nominees must have been active during the eligibility period of 1 April 2023 – 31 March 2024, and must have a strong connection to the Gold Coast.

Nominations close on April 30 and finalists will be announced on July 25 ahead of the 2024 Gold Coast Music Awards on August 29 at HOTA.

Casey Barnes has taken out Most Performed Country Work at last night's APRA AMCOS awards.

The vocals were recorded over COVID at Blind Boy Studios, with Michael Paynter zooming in from Melbourne, and Brad Hosking on the Gold Coast.

Huge congratulations to Casey Barnes and team!

Little bit lost for words on this one. Last night I was fortunate enough to win my first APRA music award for ‘God Took His Time On You’ being the most performed country work of the year. Songs like this one don’t come along in your career all that often and I’m so grateful it’s connected with you guys the way that it has. A huge shout out also to my good friends Sam Gray and Kaci Brown who I wrote this one with…. I love you both. To radio all around Australia I can’t thank you enough for your incredible support. I’m so thankful to have an amazing team behind everything I do so I also want to give a massive shout out to my Chugg Music family, the boys in my band, Mushroom Music Publishing, Metropolitan Groove Merchants, Select Music, Msquared and Varrasso PR! Honestly can’t wipe the smile off my face, it’s been one hell of a ride the last 12 months and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter has in store x
