Triple Bill by the Australian Youth Ballet
Featuring Patricio Reve – Principal Artist, Queensland Ballet
Sunday, 15 June | Concourse Theatre
We are honoured to welcome Patricio Reve as a special guest for our Triple Bill season.
Born in Cuba, Patricio began his ballet training at just nine years old at the prestigious Fernando Alonzo Cuban Ballet School. His exceptional talent and dedication led him to join the Ballet Nacional de Cuba in 2015, where he was swiftly promoted to Principal Dancer in 2017. Patricio’s artistry has taken him around the globe, with international tours to Italy, Spain, France, the United States, Canada, and a special performance for the King in Cambodia.
In 2018, Patricio joined the Queensland Ballet as a Company Artist, and his commanding portrayal of Romeo in Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s Romeo and Juliet saw him promoted to Soloist soon after. In 2021, he was elevated to Senior Soloist, and in 2022, to Principal Artist, a testament to his compelling stage presence and technical mastery.
His repertoire showcases his remarkable versatility and dramatic range, with lead roles including Des Grieux in Manon, Albrecht in Giselle, Prince Désiré in The Sleeping Beauty, Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and the Sugar Plum Prince in The Nutcracker. Patricio’s nuanced interpretations of these timeless roles have captivated audiences and critics alike.
Beyond his stage accomplishments, Patricio has been recognised for his exceptional talent, earning First Place at the Cuban Grande Prix and the Havana International Dancing Competition.
