Today we had a truly beautiful day celebrating Harmony Week through the Living Cultures Celebration of cultural diversity. It was such a joyful event to be part of.
A heartfelt thank you to Dr Laura Brearley for organising this wonderful occasion. We are so grateful to Aunty Melissa McDevitt Weston for her meaningful Welcome to Country, and to Uncle Ron Murray for his powerful didgeridoo greeting.
It was also a privilege to listen to Matua (Uncle) Arnold Tihema share his Māori greeting. I loved meeting Lisa Kennedy and Aunty Fay Stewart Muir, and it was fantastic to see Mal Webb and Kylie Morrigan, along with the Invy Horn Jam session, bring such vibrant energy to the day.
Most importantly, it was so special to connect with our EAL students. I especially enjoyed watching the Dabke dance from Syria
Today was truly something special.
Thank you to everyone in my choir for being part of this—I’m so proud of you all 🌺🌺🌺🌺

ACDC just had a fantastic time performing at WAM Wonthaggi Acoustic music festival and l hope to put some pics up soon.
we are taking a two week break now and l look forward to getting back together Tuesday night 7:30 to 9PM on the 22ND of July. New members are welcome and the cost is $15.00 a week .
