The dust is just starting to settle on another fantastic year of our Campdraft, Rodeo & Gymkhana, and there are a lot of people who deserve a special mention for the hard work, generosity and commitment that goes into making our little bush event what it is. 🤎
Firstly, a huge thank you to Michael & Lindy Dickson for allowing us to host Ballyneety on their property each year. It just wouldn’t be the same bush show anywhere else — and that’s exactly why we love it!
To our VP and Secretary, BJ & Alison Woods — these two have worked tirelessly for weeks leading up to the event and well after the dust settled. From fixing things, carting gear to the grounds and organising cattle, to donating countless machine hours and generally being across just about everything that needed doing. We simply cannot thank you enough.
A massive thank you to our cattle donors David Hay, Dan & Christine Parker, Greg & Lee-Ann Boyd, and Noel & Nathan Dickson. To Jim & Phyllis Stralow for carting the cattle. Shaun for supplying and bringing along the rough stock for the rodeo. Thank you all — the weekend simply wouldn’t happen without the cattle, time, fuel and manpower that goes into getting it all there.
To Noel, Ooby, Chookie, Sam & Cyril — thank you for keeping the grounds watered and for the hours spent ploughing and dragging the arena to keep it safe for our competitors.
To all of our amazing sponsors who continue to get behind our little event year after year — your support is what allows us to keep Ballyneety going, and we are incredibly grateful.
Thank you to Megan for organising the stores order, Maryanne for running the canteen, Kerryn for keeping us caffeinated, Woodfired Delights for serving up the best pizzas in the west, and the Alpha Brumbies for lending a hand behind the bar.
Of course, our hardworking committee and volunteers — our backyard men, bar crew, ladies in the secretary box, gate and security crew, front gate volunteers, horse callers, scorers, judges, chute bosses and every single person who jumped in wherever they were needed. So much of the work that makes a weekend like this happen goes unseen, and we appreciate every one of you.
A big thank you to Lachie from Ray White for announcing every campdraft run! Nev from Outback Sound for taking over the microphone for the rodeo and keeping the party going DJ’ing Saturday night!
To our photographers — thank you for capturing all the action, laughs, dust and memories. 📸
Finally, to all our competitors & spectators that travel near and far to enjoy our event! THANK YOU!
Ballyneety is a little bush event built on a whole lot of community spirit, generosity and people willing to roll up their sleeves and get the job done.
To everyone who played a part in Ballyneety 2026 — thank you. We couldn’t do it without you. 🤎🐎
