We're stoked to announce The Belair Lip Bombs are playing The Sound Doctor, and it's their last Aussie show before heading off on a run of dates across Europe and the USA. 🌏

Four friends from Frankston, heartfelt songs, fuzzy guitars and Maisie's cathartic vocals on melodies that stick. Their 2025 album Again was the first Australian release on Jack White's Third Man Records, and it's been turning heads everywhere it lands.

This is going to be a big one. All ages welcome (under 18s with a parent or guardian).

It's here. Fruit Bats has just released The Landfill, and it is everything we hoped it would be.

If you've been following the singles, you already have a sense of what's coming. "Think Aboutcha" strikes that blissful-but-doomed balance between ecstatic romance and melancholia, sitting somewhere at the intersection of the E Street Band and Paul McCartney. "That Goddamn Sun" stretches out warm and unhurried. And the title track, "The Landfill", is Johnson exploring memory, consequence and possibility at the top of his game, a vision of what could be, and couldn't be, and could have been.

It is being described as one of the most vibrant albums in the Fruit Bats catalogue. Give it a listen today. Then come and hear him play it live at the Anglesea. Standing tickets are still available, but not for long.

Have you heard this yet?
The Lazy Eyes have dropped the video for "How Does It Feel To Be In Love" and... we're in love. Dreamy and bittersweet and quietly devastating.
They're bringing this to Anglesea on Fri 25 Sept and we cannot wait.

We're in the middle of National Reconciliation Week 2026, and the theme is All In. It's a reminder that reconciliation is not something we observe from a distance. It asks action, every day, from all of us.
Music has always been one of the most powerful ways to listen. To really listen. So we've put together a playlist of First Nations artists whose voices have moved us, taught us, and reminded us why this work matters.
You'll find Archie Roach singing "We Won't Cry", the extraordinary Jem Cassar-Daley, and the brilliant Emma Donovan, alongside others who deserve your time and attention.
At The Sound Doctor, we are proud to have welcomed these and many other First Nations artists to the Anglesea Memorial Hall stage. It is something we are committed to continuing. Music builds connection. Connection builds understanding. And understanding is where reconciliation takes root.
Have a listen. Share it with someone. And if you haven't already, think about what being All In looks like for you.

Tickets are moving fast, people. Seated tickets for Fruit Bats (USA) Solo are sold out, but there are still standing tickets available. If you've been sitting on it, now's the time.

Speaking on ticket sales, The Lazy Eyes show in September is moving fast as well. Have you heard their new single yet?

"How Does It Feel To Be In Love?" dropped last week and it's a heartmelting piano ballad that does exactly what it says on the tin. Drawing on Coldplay and Brian Wilson, it's a dreamy bittersweet song about longing for a feeling you can't quite put into words. The band describe it as one of the main pillars of the new album, and we can absolutely hear why.

Give it a listen, then grab your tickets.

On Sale tomorrow!
Eric D. Johnson returns to Anglesea on Sat 15 August as Fruit Bats , one of the most in-demand live acts in indie folk-rock.
