Last night we came together for the Central Districts Shows Association Annual Presentation Dinner hosted by the Mannum Show.

It was a lovely night celebrating the people who make our country communities so special, our makers, bakers, farmers, growers and exhibitors who put so much time, care and passion into what they do.

A big congratulations to some of our own:
• Sharyn Rosenzweig – Most Successful Exhibitor, Photography
• Rhiannon Atkinson – Most Successful Exhibitor, Jams & Preserves
• Aubrey Whelan – Junior Most Successful Exhibitor, Eggs

So much talent across our district and wonderful to see it celebrated.

Thank you again to Emmalene for sponsoring the Dash for Cash!

Congratulations to AM United Hockey Club and Angaston Netball Club, their runners earned each club $1000!

Plus, the individual winners also took home $200 each.

All other participants received a half case of the 2023 Emmalene Sparkling Pinot Noir to enjoy, a fine drop indeed! 🍾

Thank you to everyone who got involved and made it such a great event.

On this day, 7 March 1854, the first Angaston Show was held on 'The Green' near to the Angaston Hotel. Sections were wheat, oats, barley, potatoes, onions, cheese, hams, flour, hay, butter, vegetables, green fodder, wine, grapes, fruits, apples, pears, and dried fruits.

Pictured are visitors to the 1910 Angaston Show arriving by motorcar.

The front vehicle is a 1908 Belsize 12hp owned by FH Metters of Mile End. The vehicle behind is a 1909 Rolls Royce 50hp owned by Charles Angas, who was the Show's patron.
