One of the most creative artists in our studio, Fabrianne recently sent me this sketch she had been playing around with and asked if she could try painting it. Of course we said yes! And this is what she created from that original idea 😍

Let's be honest...
We only agreed to host the Alice Springs Youth Arts Prize so that we got to see this delightful display of artworks from local young artists everyday!
Walking through the back door each day this week makes all of us at Yubu Napa smile with delight

Congratulations to the winners, who were announced yesterday, and also to every single artist who entered the awards, we are so proud to have your paintings, drawings and sculpture on.our gallery walls.

The artworks will be on display for the entire week and we still have the people's choice awards to announce next week. Come in and see the works and make sure you vote for your favourite pieces from artists aged 7 years old to 22 years old.

We will post the winners over the coming days so stay tuned 😎

It was great to catch up with Adrian Newstead OAM, President of Aboriginal Art Association of Australia (AAAA) today. And a timely reminder that when you purchase Indigenous Art, you need to ensure the gallery or studio you purchase from are members of either AAAA or Indigenous Art Code of Conduct.
These associations ensure that the galleries, dealer and art centres you purchase artworks from are above board and treating artists ethically.

My awesome Bush Medicine Shoes by Marie Ryder came today, and I have to say - these are SO COMFY!
If you love the look of these, I can highly recommend! I have the European size 48 and usually wear Aus mens 12 or 13. Karl used toi say that I have Hobbit Feet haha!
