Hullo! Check out the snaps Nico took of me playing at earlier this year- a fantastic event organised by milk productions and 8CCC Community Radio 102.1fm - Alice Springs & Tennant Creek. I shared the stage with many other fem/n.b artists and we had heaps of fun. Thank you again for the photo and opportunity!

The Seventh Seal is broken. The final artist reveal for the collaboration for the performance ‘Should You Lose Your Belongings’ - two weeks to go!!
When I first heard Little Andi’s voice, the Ursula in me screamed I NEED IT. And I’m glad they said yes. Andi will also play ukulele -a bewildering instrument indeed.
“Andi is a far flung and stringy fragment of the Gaelic and Norse diaspora & is very grateful for how the country and the people round these parts have nourished them. They like to dance and try learn instruments and sometimes they sing. Involved in all sorts of suspicious activity, including playing with the Midnight Rangers.”
Should You Lose Your Belongings will combine four of my new original songs with dance and my hand drawn animations. It will be performed as part of the 2022 Desert Festival at Sept 30 2022 at the Desert Festival Hub - Gap View Hotel. Start time 7 pm.

The sixth reveal of artists working with me for my performance titled ‘Should You Lose Your Belongings’ for the 2022 Desert Festival, Alice Springs (Mparntwe) ——-🎶 🥁 Multi instrumentalist, sound tech, props problem solver- Anders is the master of multiple hats both figuratively and literally. A huge relief washed over me when they said they were willing to explore the percussive side of things for this performance with me - although I did also wonder whether adding that to their mammoth list of projects this year will be good for their overall sanity. Anders have also generously offered their practice space for a barrage of musicians working on this performance. Much grateful. ————
Funded generously by Project SEED, ‘Should You Lose Your Belongings’ is a performance featuring music; dance, spoken word and hand-drawn animations to be held on Sept 30 2022 at the Desert Festival Hub - Gap View Hotel.

The fifth reveal of my collaborative project for the 2023 Desert Festival. A dream to work with.

“Dave Crowe is a singer, songwriter, producer, keys player, a husband and a father. His penchant for composing breezy, catchy tunes has been recognised by many in the Territory and beyond.

Whilst the themes of Dave’s songs are not always lighthearted, he seems to enjoy wrapping them in ribbons of synths and melodies for us to savour slowly. At times he disguised himself as a resin moon- creating reflections in somewhat fractal manners of sound spheres.”

Dave is playing the keys for Should You Lose Your Belongings - to be performed at the Desert Festival hub (Gap View Hotel) on September 30, 7 pm.

The fourth reveal for my 2022 Desert Festival project..or shall I call this one..The Dark Horse.

The addition of Michael Smith-technician, trumpeter, husband, father- has gifted this project with rich, jazzy notes, sinister jokes and welcomed company.

A few times a year, Michael puts his non- musical tools aside and gifts the town with his skilled playing through various collaborations and projects.

The presence of Michael has also brought up the question of whether or not after this project we shall start a ska-core revival band in Alice Springs. Jokes...or MAYBE NOT 😈 after all, I’ve neeever hard to knock on wood 🎺 🎶🕴🏻’

‘Should You Lose Your Belongings’ will be performed as part of the Desert Festival on Sept 30 at Gap View Hotel (Desert Festival Hub). It is double-billed under Dina & Stellar Sea | Desert Festival
