Alpitye Art Studio

Alpitye Art Studio Situated in Alice Springs, Alpitye Art Studio specialises in contemporary and traditional Aboriginal artworks from across the desert regions.

Alpitye Art Studio is an independent working studio located in Alice Springs that specialises in dealing with both traditional and contemporary Aboriginal Artworks from the central, eastern and western desert regions of Central Australia. Alpitye Art Studio was officially established in 2006 in response to a positive wave of pressure from several local artists that we had been working with for man

y years. Through successful collaboration with these artists, we established a creative work centre that now caters to a remarkable and diverse selection of independent artists seeking to pursue their artistic careers. Artists at Alpitye are able to develop a deep knowledge of the artistic process whilst acquiring a holistic understanding of the Aboriginal Art industry. This includes learning about everything from material selection and preparation, right through to the marketing and selling of their work. With more than twenty years experience in the Indigenous Art industry, the staff at Alpitye Art Studio represents more than thirty Aboriginal Artists at varying stages of their careers. Assembling such an assortment of individuals has helped establish a unique creative environment, where support, encouragement and mentoring are integral components to helping our artists develop a diverse collection of authentic and exceptional works. All artworks purchased at Alpitye come with an Alpitye Art Studio Certificate of Authenticity, the signature artist’s biography and a brief narrative of the painting’s story as explained by the artist. Wherever possible, we record each ‘work in progress’ by taking photographs and video footage and by recording the artist’s narrative. This enables us to document and authenticate the creative journey undertaken by the artists as they develop each new piece. Alpitye Art Studio uses only the highest quality cotton duck canvas and Belgian linen and each artist is supplied with premium quality artist grade acrylic paints. Whilst Alpitye Art Studio is a small independent family-run business, it attracts and supplies clients and galleries both in Australia and internationally. Our staff understands the value of positive customer experiences and is committed to meeting our customers’ needs through positive and effective communication. As part of our commitment to our customers, Alpitye Art Studio offers free delivery, Australia wide, with the purchase of any unframed artwork. Insurance is optional, however highly recommended. All prices are inclusive of GST and any applicable royalties.
