Have your say: Gender Equity in NT music, five years on

MusicNT is reviewing our work supporting gender equity across the NT music industry, following up from the release of the You Gotta See It To Be It report in 2021 which confirmed widespread gender-based disadvantage across most areas of the industry, and developments both in the NT and nationally since then.

We want to hear from YOU

It's time to take stock. What's improved? What hasn't? What should the priorities be for a safe, fair and equitable NT music industry for all?

If you work in NT music now, or have recently, you can take part in three ways:

First Nations artists are invited to submit their songs, with selected tracks to be featured across the digital release and physical First Sounds compilation CDs sent to community radio stations around the country via amrap.org.au. From emerging artists to established voices, we want to hear what’s next.
