Arlpwe Art and Culture Centre 100% Aboriginal owned art centre and gallery based in Ali Curung community, NT, Australia. We have an annual dance festival and workshops open to the public.

We specialise in painting, artefacts, jewellery, craft, multimedia art. Volunteers are welcome!

A lovely moment tho week with Alyawarr elders and Arlpwe cultural liaison staff Peter Corbett and Graham Beasley taking our new studio coordinator out on Country to see the dog print near Ali Curung.

Printed into this rock is the paw print left from the dog who was at the centre of the Ali Curung creation story.

In Kaytetye and Alyawarr, Alekerange means ‘belonging to the dog’ referring to the dreaming origins of the area.

Arlpwe has shut up shop for the year, after a big year with huge engagement from the community. All of the staff have worked so hard and were proud to see so many smiling faces having a big old feed at the Christmas party!!
