Next week is dress up week!
Week 3 is Halloween week 🤪

Please refrain from wearing masks as we do have younger kids who may find them scary.

Please also no inappropriate costumes.

We urge all dancers to think outside the box and not necessarily wear scary costumes.

Here are some ideas 💡

- Animals
- Space
- Yours pjs

Appropriate footwear must be worn to class. If your costume restricts you from movement please remove before class commences and wear dance attire to attend your set class.

📸 Photography & Social Media Policy

At True Heights Dance Academy, we love seeing our dancers celebrate their achievements, friendships and special moments in the studio. We absolutely welcome parents and carers taking photos and videos of their own children during appropriate times.

To help keep our studio a safe, respectful and comfortable space for all dancers and families, we ask everyone to follow the guidelines below.

Photography & Video

Parents and carers are welcome to take photos or videos of their own child where appropriate.

Please be mindful of other dancers who may be in the background of photos or videos.

Please avoid intentionally photographing or filming another child without their parent/carer's permission.

During classes, performances or activities, please follow any instructions from our teachers regarding when photography or filming is appropriate.

Please do not distract dancers, teachers or disrupt the class while taking photos or videos.

Where possible, position yourself so that your own child is the focus of your photo or video.

No photos are to be taken under no circumstances in change rooms.

Social Media 📱

We understand that families love sharing their child's dance journey online, and as you should.

However, before posting photos or videos to social media, please consider whether other children are clearly identifiable.

Please do not post, tag or share images or videos of other dancers without the permission of their parent or carer.

This includes:

Instagram

Facebook

TikTok

Snapchat

YouTube

Private Facebook groups or stories

Any other online or social media platform

If another child appears clearly in the background, we ask that you crop, blur or choose another image unless you have permission to share it.

True Heights Dance Academy reserves the right to ask that photography or filming stop if it is becoming disruptive, inappropriate or causes concerns regarding the privacy or wellbeing of our dancers.

💗 THDA STUDIO UPDATE – NO SCHOOL UNIFORMS
Following a recent incident, we have made the decision to introduce a NO SCHOOL UNIFORM policy within the studio.

We kindly ask that if your dancer is coming straight from school on Wednesdays, you please pack their dance clothes to change into before class.

We do have dancewear available for purchase if you need anything, and we’re always happy to help.

This change isn’t only about safety our studio is a dedicated space for dance, and we want our dancers to feel mentally and physically ready when they walk through the doors. Check out for the day and leave the school uniform in your bag.

Changing out of their school uniform and into their dancewear helps create that transition, allowing them to switch into “dance mode,” be focused, feel prepared and get the most out of their class.

We appreciate your support in helping us maintain a safe, positive and professional environment for all of our dancers, staff and volunteers.

Please have this policy in place from next week.

ON WEEK 1 • TERM 4

Why not bring a friend from school along and show them where you dance?

Our studio is a place to move, connect, laugh and create memories together and we’d love to fill the room with even more friendship, positivity and fun!

Dance has a beautiful way of bringing people together. Through movement, music and teamwork, our dancers build confidence, trust and stronger friendships.

So grab your bestie, school friend or someone who has always wanted to try dance and COME DANCE WITH US!
