A final message from our wonderful drama teacher Millie after an incredible six weeks at 🎭🗽

Hi everyone!

Six weeks later and I’m leaving New York feeling so grateful for everything I’ve learnt at Atlantic. I’ve grown so much in confidence as an actor and have loved being challenged to approach acting through truthful, moment-to-moment work.

I’m incredibly grateful for the wonderful teachers, generous creatives and fellow actors I’ve met along the way. I’ve learnt so much both in and outside of the classroom, and I’m excited to bring these new techniques, ideas and games back to my students.

✨ What an incredible Eisteddfod! ✨

We are so incredibly proud of our Sharyn Hill School of Performing Arts & Creative Expression (S.P.A.C.E.) students who recently took to the stage at the Albury Wodonga Eisteddfod! 🎭🎶

It was wonderful to see our students sharing their passion, talent and hard work across speech, drama and music, and we couldn’t be prouder of every performer who stepped out of their comfort zone and gave it their all.

🎶 VOCAL ENSEMBLES
Our vocal ensembles had an amazing time representing S.P.A.C.E. in the Community Groups section, with our:
✨Senior Ensemble- 1st Place
✨ Glee Ensemble- 2nd place
✨ Junior High Ensemble- 3rd Place .
Congratulations to our up and coming vocal artists .
Each group performed beautifully and showcased the incredible teamwork, dedication and musicality they have developed throughout the year. We are so proud of each and every singer who took part!

🎭 GROUP IMPROVISATION
Our Year 9 & 10 students absolutely shone in Group Improvisation, taking out an incredible 1st, 2nd AND 3rd place overall! 🏆🥇🥈🥉

What an achievement! Their creativity, quick thinking, teamwork and ability to think on their feet truly impressed us. A huge congratulations to all of our Year 9 & 10 performers!

🎤 SPEECH & DRAMA
Our Speech & Drama sections were adjudicated by Mrs Jill Tucker, and we would like to thank her for sharing her expertise and feedback with our performers. Every student should be incredibly proud of the courage and commitment they demonstrated on stage.

🎼 MUSIC
Our music sections were adjudicated by Gillian Wills, and we are grateful for the encouragement, feedback and expertise she provided to our students throughout the Eisteddfod.

🌟 A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR PRIVATE STUDENTS! 🌟

We would also like to extend a huge congratulations to the many private students of S.P.A.C.E. who competed throughout the Eisteddfod! We are incredibly proud of your individual achievements, dedication and willingness to get up on stage and share your talents.

Whether you received a place, a highly commended, an encouragement award or simply challenged yourself to perform — your achievement matters, and we are so proud of you! 💙

A massive thank you to our incredible teachers, accompanists, families and supporters who continue to encourage our students and help them grow as performers.

At S.P.A.C.E., we believe in creating opportunities for students to Inspire. Innovate. Ignite. — and this Eisteddfod was a wonderful celebration of exactly that. ✨

Congratulations to ALL of our S.P.A.C.E. performers! We are incredibly proud of you! 🎭🎶💙

✨ Meet the Teacher – Heidi! ✨

We're so excited to introduce Heidi, one of our passionate Performing Arts teachers and vocal coaches, who will be joining us in our classroom for Term 3! 🎭🎶

With over a decade of experience in education and theatre, Heidi is passionate about helping children discover their unique talents, build confidence, and shine both on and off the stage. She believes the performing arts are about so much more than singing and acting—they help young people develop confidence, resilience, creativity, communication skills, and lifelong friendships.

Whether students are taking their very first class or working towards performance opportunities, Heidi is committed to creating a warm, supportive environment where every child feels encouraged to learn, grow, and express themselves.

When she's not teaching, you'll find Heidi singing, baking, enjoying live theatre, or spending time with her family and her adorable toy poodle. 🐩💜

Heidi can't wait to inspire the next generation of performers, and we can't wait for you to meet her this Term 3! Please join us in giving Heidi a warm S.P.A.C.E. welcome! 🌟

A beautiful drama teacher committed to her students and encouraging our young people to discover their voice. Val will be sadly missed.

The Albury Wodonga Eisteddfod is sad to learn of the passing of one of their longest serving members in Mrs Valda Edmunds (known as Val.)

Mrs Edmunds' first association with the Eisteddfod began over eighty six years ago when she first competed in the Speech and Drama Sections. She then went on to do Radio work with Albury Radio Station 2AY and began her own School of Speech and Drama.

Countless students of Mrs. Edmunds have successfully competed throughout the years in the Eisteddfod including her own daughters, granddaughters and great granddaughters. However, there are many other students who have learnt from her without competing, but to enable them to become articulate and develop confidence in communicating throughout their everyday life. Over the years Mrs. Edmunds has directed and presented many plays, Speech Choirs and performances which have been enjoyed by our whole community and this year she was recognised as a Life Member of the Albury Wodonga Eisteddfod.

As the Eisteddfod is taking place in the next fortnight, we know that although Mrs Edmunds will not physically be present she will be watching over her beloved Eisteddfod with a smile on her face.

Thank you, Mrs Edmunds, for all you have done for the Performing Arts in our community over the years and may you Rest In Peace.
