On 14th September, 2019 we are holding our third annual sing day event at St Matthews Albury! We are very excited to be lead this year by our energetic and charismatic guest director Hugh Fullarton as we perform Vivaldi's 'Gloria R589' together with an original composition by Hugh and a work by John Ross never before performed locally!
Doors open at 9am for a 9.45 start, an afternoon tea is included in your ticket price ($30 per adult chorister, $25 if you're an RSCM member, concert admission is $15 per adult kids under 18 free). You will need to either bring your own lunch to enjoy in the church surrounds or you can use the hour break to grab something from the many cafes etc close by.
The day will comprise of a total of 3 rehearsal blocks with the concert at 6pm running for approx 45min. Pre-purchased ticket holders (which is preferable for obvious catering reasons) will be sent a dropbox link where you can find scores of the music to print and bring with you. A limited number of scores will be available on the day for people who are unable to print their own or do not pre-purchase their ticket.
There is no dress code for the day or concert, just comfortable casual clothes but there are facilities available if you wish to freshen up and change before the performance.
It is an absolutely brilliant day, which brings like minded singers together to challenge and reward, and with its growing success we hope to continue to bring it to the border for years to come!
