The Murray Concert Choir’s September concert will be “Paths of Light”, with Catherine Nash, Music Director.

A thematic journey from reflection to grandeur.

From jubilant celebration to radiant sacred splendour, "Paths of Light” traces a musical journey across continents and centuries. In the first half, contemporary Australian and American works by Lyn Williams, Stephen Paulus, Eric Whitacre and Paul Jarman explore themes of longing, belonging and hope. The second half turns to the grandeur and devotion of the European sacred tradition, featuring the music of Handel and Purcell, and a wonderful Mozart Mass.

Join us for this unique musical voyage through time and emotion. Rehearsals commence on Monday 25 May, 7.30pm in St David’s Uniting Church, Wilson Street, Albury.

A few more "tasters" from last night's final rehearsal for the Four Choirs International Festival, today, Saturday 16 May, 2.30pm in Galvin Hall and tomorrow, Sunday 17 May, 2.30pm in Wangaratta Cathedral. 130 singers and an orchestra of 45 instrumentalists from the North East and Arizona! A world premiere of "Sullivan's Grave" by our own local composer, Paul Tasker! This is going to be a once in a lifetime experience for North East audiences, so make sure you don't miss out. Tickets available at the door for both venues.

Very successful first rehearsal with Paul Tasker last Monday for the Four Choirs Festival in May. Choir numbers are very strong (almost seventy singers) and the choir is already sounding good, even though still a lot of ground to cover in short timeframe. The fun continues tomorrow evening. Still not too late to join in.
