The Maltese Cultural Association of Victoria mourns the passing of our dear former member, Mary Zammit (1992–2018), beloved wife of the late Joe Zammit.

We invite members to join us in honoring her life:

• Funeral Service: Tuesday, 14th April at 11:00am
• Location: St Leo’s Catholic Church, 389 Mason St, Altona North
• Burial: Altona Memorial Park (Correa Lawn)

Our deepest condolences to the extended Zammit family.

May she rest in peace.

The Maltese Cultural Assoc. of Vic. and The Maltese Own Band Philharmonic Society Inc. are thrilled to invite you to a wonderful Sunday out! We’re heading off on a scenic journey through regional Victoria, and we’d love for you to join our community for a day of sightseeing, great food, and even better company.

📍 What’s on the Itinerary?

• Scenic Morning Tea: We’ll start our day with a relaxing break among the historic old buildings of beautiful Malmsbury.

• Delicious Sunday Roast: Enjoy a full lunch (including a drink!) at the All Seasons Resort Seasons Bistro in Bendigo.

• Lake Weeroona & Botanical Gardens: After lunch, we’ll take a casual stroll through the stunning gardens and enjoy the lakeside views.

• Departure: 8:00 AM from the Maltese Cultural Centre (27 Talmage St, Albion)

• Return: Approximately 5:00 PM to Albion

What a sweet day it was! 🐰✨

The Maltese Cultural Association of Victoria wants to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for our Figolli making workshop on Thursday. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and such incredible creativity on display.

We have a few very special shout-outs to make:

• To Marisa: A huge thank you for running the workshop so flawlessly. From the detailed instructions to the perfectly prepared icing and decorations, you made sure everyone went home with a masterpiece!

• To our resident Maltese Lace Group: We couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you for all the hard work in preparing the delicious figolli bases for everyone to decorate. They were without a doubt the best Figolli we’ve ever tasted!

Whether you made a traditional heart, a fish, or other shape, we hope your Figolli taste as good as they look!

Calling all bakers, decorators, and sweets-lovers! The Maltese Cultural Association of Victoria is hosting a hands-on Figolli decorating class, and you’re invited to join the fun.

Whether you are a master decorator or have never picked up a piping bag in your life, this class is for you! It’s all about community, tradition, and—of course—delicious treats.

✨ Everything is provided for just $15 per participant!

For the price of a coffee and a snack, you’ll get:
• One pre-baked, undecorated Figolla (ready for its makeover!)
• Royal icing in a rainbow of vibrant colors.
• Decorative edible sprinkles to add that extra sparkle.
• A chocolate egg to place right in the center, as tradition demands.

What a wonderful day we had. Tasting chocolates, cheeses, ice cream, wine and more wine including a gourmet lunch at The Yarra Valley. Not to mention our wonderful host Melissa who was so patient with us. A great day had by all.
