Sadly with the ongoing restrictions here in Melbourne and the recent announcements from the Melbourne Fringe, the not-so-juicy news is that our upcoming performance is postponed for the time being. We’re absolutely heartbroken, but are completely supportive of the tough decisions that are being made by all of the incredible artists involved in this wonderful festival, and of course by the Melbourne Fringe themselves.

We’re sending all of our love to you all. Not doing what you love is hard, and if anyone needs anything at all, our juicy hearts are always open to you here at The Juicy Orange 🧡

Thank you so much Melbourne Fringe and our amazing venue Gasworks Arts Park. Your support has been invaluable and we’re sending our love to you all 🧡🍊🧡

We’re going to do everything in our power to remount this super silly choose-your-own-adventure detective mystery as soon as we can do so confidently and comfortably, so stay tuned to not only continue meet our beautiful cast, but for all things juicy as we keep the mystery alive… 🔍🔍🔍

For now, all ticket holders will have the option to receive a refund or donate the cost of their ticket. The Melbourne Fringe are working hard to make all of this happen, so we ask for your patience while they do this. We know how hard these times are, and whilst any donations are so appreciated, we completely understand that not everyone will have the capacity to do this at this time x

We are just overjoyed with all the love and support we’ve received over the course of this incredible festival Adelaide Fringe 🧡

Once again, such a huge thank you to Frank Lynch for these juicy photos, and to Hartstone-Kitney Productions and Black Box Theatres for everything!

“You want to take your kids to a Fringe show, so that they have great memories and talk about the show and you want to enjoy it as well. My girlfriend's kids (mine are too old now) said that they had so much fun at the Junior Detective Collective: The Mystery of the Golden Scoop. They loved it when the characters were paused and the audience could choose how the story continued. They really felt as if they were part of the show. The interaction was fantastic allowing the children to vote on how many scoops or the flavours of ice cream. For the adults, most have fond memories of the "choose your own adventure" books and this show brought back the nostalgia. The setting was glorious as this show was held in the Ampitheatre at Black Box Theatres within the Adelaide Botanic Garden. This is a hidden gem of the fringe spaces designed by artists and brought to life by Hartstone-Kitney productions. This incredible children's troupe, The Juicy Orange, shows their passion and flair for this kind of interactive theatre and makes you think that there are people out there truly loving what they do. The cast were lovely, posing for photos with the children and handing out Junior Detective Badges. Little things like this after an awesome show makes all the difference. Wonder what they have in store for us next year!”
