🚀 Prepare for lift-off — we're heading deep into space! 🚀

For Term 3, students will journey beyond our solar system to create spectacular galaxies, distant planets, astronauts, spacecraft, and mysterious cosmic worlds. Along the way, they'll learn techniques for blending colour, creating glowing effects, building depth, and capturing the vast scale and wonder of space.

We'll explore dramatic contrasts, celestial textures, and imaginative design while developing skills in drawing, painting, and mixed media. Throughout the term, students will have opportunities to try new techniques, explore their creativity and gain confidence in their artwork. 🌌✨

📅 9 week course begins in week 1, and ends in week 9 (in line with Queensland State School Calendar).

Classes fall between the 13th July 2026 - 13th September 2026
Suitable for children in Years 1-6 of Primary school; sorry, strictly no preps.

Our weekly drawing classes begin this Sunday, 26th April 😊✏️

Each week, students will build their drawing skills through a clear, guided focus.
Our secondary class will kick things off by exploring light and shadow using light bulbs, while our primary class will focus on shape, drawing cute ‘Jellycat’ plushies!

Term 2 ‘Just Drawing’ classes are now open for enrolments! ✏️

This term, you now have the option to attend every week instead of fortnightly — perfect for kids who want to build their skills faster or just can’t get enough of drawing.

These are still casual, book-as-you-go classes, so you can choose what dates works best for you 💛

With highly experienced art teachers & small class sizes, every child receives guidance, encouragement and the satisfaction of seeing their drawing abilities improve.

Important: Please check the timetable below before booking to confirm the weekly drawing focus. Some subjects are intentionally revisited across different months or years as part of our skill-building approach. Refunds for this class type are only available with a minimum of 5 days’ notice.

Class details:

-$28 per child (all materials included)
- Primary Classes suit ages 6-10. Secondary suit ages 11-15

Our Journey Through the Jungle theme is designed to help students grow in confidence, creativity, and skill — all while creating artwork they’ll be excited to show off.

Each class is carefully guided, so every child feels supported and leaves proud of what they’ve achieved.

For our older students, our teen classes provide a calm, safe space to create, build on their skills, and express themselves in a supportive environment.

🌿Get ready for an adventure -
we’re heading deep into the jungle!🌿

This term, students will create powerful jungle animals and dramatic rainforest scenes while learning how to build depth, scale and atmosphere in their work. We’ll explore rich tropical colour palettes, layered foliage, light and shadow, and techniques that make artwork feel alive and immersive. By the end of the term, they’ll have bold jungle-inspired artworks to show off and stronger confidence in their artistic ability!

Teen & Adult Classes

Our teen and adult classes focus on fostering a love and enjoyment of art. Participants create a variety of different artworks while learning new skills and techniques in a relaxed and supportive environment. My Art Space Studio has a welcoming atmosphere that encourages students to experiment, take creative risks and explore their artistic interests.

Unlike our primary classes, teen and adult sessions do not follow a set theme. Instead, lessons are guided by student interests, current trends and creative exploration.
