Join local Bina Van Haeften, Artist of The Perspective Collective for a beautiful hands-on introduction to the ancient craft of coil weaving.

Weaving is one of the oldest crafts in human history, dating back at least 12,000 years. Coil weaving is a versatile technique that can be used to create vessels of any size and shape, wall art, sculptures and even jewellery. Using a variety of natural and repurposed materials – from grasses to fabrics – this technique is also a wonderful way to reuse and recycle materials creatively.

In this workshop you will learn how to weave your own little medicine basket, or create a pendant necklace or colourful earrings to take home.

✨ All materials are provided
πŸ₯€ BYO refreshments

As the year draws to a close I would like to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart, who has been supporting and following my artistic ventures this year. Thank you for patiently waiting for the rather sparingly conducted workshops...they did take second place to the intense preparations of my 6-week solo exhibition at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum and my Natural Art Course facilitations at the Himalayan Rilung Foundation in Himachal Pradesh, India.
I had a full year with amazing opportunities and I'm looking forward to a new year with more exciting project and artistic endeavours.
I'm working on the schedule for January/February/March workshops...stay put...they'll be published shortly.

Have a wonderful transition into the New Year. We hope it will hold everything you wish for and more ✨️

Following my Natural Art Course facilitations at the Mountainwind Ecoversity Campus of the Himalayan Rilung Foundation in Himachal Pradesh in October this year, is the exhibition "Remembering the Forest" at the India International Centre IIC in Delhi.
The exhibition will be open to the public from 7 - 13 January, with the official opening being on the evening of 6 January.
I am so proud to have my and my students artworks exhibited at one of India's most prestigious cultural institutions.
